The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) supports the Sober Truth on Preventing Underage Drinking (STOP) Act, which provides grants to previous or current Drug-Free Community recipients to create and sustain a reduction in youth and young adult underage drinking.
Under the direction of LEAD Phillipsburg Drug Free Community Coalition, STOP! Be Safe & Sober! was developed to reduce underage drinking for youth in Phillipsburg and the surrounding sending districts. STOP! Be Safe & Sober! will further expand LEAD Phillipsburg's focus on integrating prevention and environmental strategies to decrease underage drinking to the area's most underserved youth and young adults.
