Stronger Together aims to provide inclusive enrichment activities in a safe space for families with youth who are differently-abled. The FYC is partnering with Action Karate Phillipsburg to provide Martial Arts classes that are tailored to accommodate and support individual abilities, foster physical development, build confidence, and enhance social skills in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Stronger Together encourages parent/guardian and sibling participation, and is completely free to families!
Each program session includes:
6:15-7:00pm: Participants who are differently-abled will partake in Martial Arts led by certified, credentialed instructors in the Wrestling Room. Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to participate with their children or watch the session. Simultaneously, siblings will enjoy other physical activities led by FYC Staff in the Gym such as Relay Races, Knock-Out Basketball, or Kickball.
7:00-7:45pm: Families will reconnect in the Multipurpose Room to eat a catered family dinner and play an interactive game with prizes.
Participants who are differently-abled must be 8-12 years old and have a 2025-26 Membership/Emergency Contact Form completed.
Siblings participating in the program must be between 6-17 years old and have a 2025-26 Membership/Emergency Contact Form completed.
Parents/guardians must fill out a 2025-26 Adult Membership Form.
Space is limited. A confirmation email will be sent to reserve the enrollee's spot. A waitlist will be maintained, and participants on the waitlist will be given priority notification for the next available session.
